Control Room Log Entry Type defaults to "Reading"


We are looking to have volunteers enter some information in the Control Room. One of the things may be to retroactively award badges or reading minutes. We see that you can do that by going to “Patron Logs” and adding the points in along with the reason they are awarded.

However, when we try to change from “Reading” in the drop down menu to “Completed Challenge”, it always defaults back to “Reading” after saving.

Is there a way to fix this or a better way of accomplishing what we are trying to do?


I had never used this page and our staff was unaware that it would let you log challenges for people. How odd.

Upon testing here I don’t see it actually awarding the challenge either so there might be a bug.

Typically here we award the badge directly if someone missed an event and only use this page to log minutes for a user. I’ll look into this further and see if I can figure out what’s going on.
